Education

Mrs. Annapurna Dixit is a Graduate in Physics (Hons) and has Masters and M. Phil Degrees in Education; all from Delhi University

Experience

  • She worked for more than two decades as an Officer in the India Country Office of the United Nations Children’s Fund .


  • Mrs Dixit worked closely with relevant Ministries of the Government of India, State Governments, NCW, NHRC, IMA, NIPCCD and with NGOs for ensuring protection of Rights of women and children in different sectors, including Health, Environment, Education, by contributing towards amendment of concerned legislations and formulation of policies, national programmes and schemes.


  • Mrs. Dixit was also responsible for providing programming designs for women and children in J&K and North Eastern States besides supporting research, policy analysis and systems development for improving database in these areas.
